Oddities

A family friend grew up in a small Scottish fishing village. He did not eat fish, but we reaped the benefits of catches more than once. He brought over two large bags of langoustines one day. I cleaned them all, and they covered my whole kitchen island. These two, had very distinctive roe. I grabbed my camera to capture the moment. (Mayfield, Scotland)

Science of Langoustine Roe

I was walking in the Coal Drops Yard at the heart of King’s Cross in London. I looked up on this sunny day, and this building enveloped me, yet gave way right above me, reflecting the sky beautifully. (London, England)

Open Skies

This sky was extraordinary, but different. It was deeply moving to me but reminded me of a word I learned growing up Catholic…the rapture. It basically meant end of days. This however, was not that to me. It was rapture as in - joy. The confluence of dark and light. (Scottish Central Highlands)

The Rapture

I wanted to capture the wings of the Calatrava Museum dead-centre. This day I did. The day was unusual. It was very still but the blue sky made everything feel very weighed down. It looked as though silver paint was dumped into the atmosphere making it feel heavy and sad. The museum’s rods and wings looked extraordinary though against this unusual landscape. Blue

I was walking in the Fitzrovia area of London with camera in hand, and happened to look up. This very mod yet chic building’s front protruded out, before You even made it to the front door. It was fabulous. I felt like London was calling! (Fitzrovia, England)
